In order to reduce dropouts among the girl children in rural areas and to encourage them to continue their studies, this department is implementing Rural Girl’s incentie Scheme. This scheme is being implemented from the year 1999-2000. The parental annual income for aailing benefit under this scheme should not exceed Rs. 72000/- per annum. Beneficiaries are selected based on the following criteria:
1. Student should belonging to Most Backward Classes and Denotified Community.
2. The parental Annual income ceiling of the girl students for aailing this benefit is Rs.72,000/-
3. Priority will be gien to the children of destitute widows and children of women abandoned by their husbands.
4. Student should study in Goernment/ Goernment Aided schools in rural area.
